The largest Cree community in Eeyou Istchee, Chisasibi is the home of the Chisasibi Regional Hospital Centre, the head office of the Cree Board of Health and Social Services, Weesapou Group Home and the Chisasibi CMC, which provides day-to-day health and wellness services to the local population. Chisasibi is a McGill University Teaching Site.
