The Executive Director of CBH is pleased to announce the nomination of Luc Laforest as the Director – Capital Projects and Projects financed by the agreement.
Luc has joined the CBH since 2013 as the Director of Material Resources/Biomedical Services/Project Management Office (Capital Project and Information Technology Project).
He remained in this position until his current nomination.
As part of his new responsibilities, he will serve as Director of Capital Projects and Contracted Projects, focusing his work on overseeing the pre-planning, planning and execution of projects (new construction, IT, administrative and clinical projects) for the benefit of CBHSSJB's clients and staff in all 9 communities.
His responsibilities as Director of the MRD - Material Resources Department were spread across all nine Cree communities. They included managing asset maintenance, major building renovations and repairs, non-medical equipment and vehicles, biomedical, new construction, IT, administrative projects, and supporting certain clinical initiatives with the Project Management Officer & MRD team.
Prior to joining CBH, Luc was the Coordinator of Technical Activities & Construction/Renovation. MRD and technical services for CSSS Papineau in Buckingham Qc. in the Gatineau region and for the CSSS Temiscaming Kipawa in Temiscaming for a period of 25 years. Prior to that, he was Director of Public Works for the Town of Temiscaming and Project Manager in charge of cost control for industrial/commercial construction in the Montreal region for a period of 10 years.
Luc holds a DEC in Civil Engineering from the college de Sherbrooke. He has also been trained in human resources management and organizational behavior.
Luc started his new position on September 9th.
