The Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Team is dedicated to helping Eeyou/Eenou achieve miyupimaatisiiun reflective of Nishiiyuu. Pelvic Health plays an important role in complete physical, mental, emotional social, and sexual well-being.

Labonté

Alexandra graduated in 2018 and worked in Chisasibi full time as a general physio from 2018 to 2022.

She started developing women and pelvic health physiotherapy services in Chisasibi in 2019.

Alexandra completed the Microprogram in pelvic floor rehab at Montreal University in 2022. She is a strong believer in equitable access to women’s health care services for all! In her free time, she is a big fan of outdoors sports 😊
Julie C
Pelletier
- Julie graduated in physiotherapy from McMaster University in Ontario in 2004.
- You will find her in Mistissini and Oujé where she is the visiting Pelvic Health physio.
- She believes in an individual, holistic approach.
- She helps her clients become stronger, more knowledgeable about their body and be better equipped to face life’s challenges, goals and dreams.
Lise
Dion
- Lise graduated in physiotherapy in 1992 from Laval University in Québec. She then studied in pelvic health in 1996 and provided services to women in private settings. In 2003, she joined the CBHSSJB Rehab Team to serve in coastal communities.
- Ever since then, she has been dedicating herself to provide a wide range of physiotherapy services to the people of Eeyou Istchee, including pelvic health for women, with a holistic approach.
TALIA
ERDAN
- Talia graduated from McGill University in physiotherapy in 2014. She specialized in pelvic floor rehabilitation and orthopedic care — blending neuro-muscular re-education, manual therapy, and pain management techniques. She started working in Wemindji in 2025 as the visiting pelvic health Physio.
- She’s passionate about supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum, empowering them with strength, resilience, and body awareness.
- Talia brings a compassionate, heart-centered approach to healing, creating a welcoming, judgment-free space where movement, mindfulness, and nervous-system regulation support holistic wellbeing.
- She integrates somatic and trauma-informed approaches that empower her clients to connect to their inner wisdom and sovereignty.
- When not working, she likes to practice yoga & mediation, explore nature, and enjoys savouring evenings of cooking, music, and dance with close friends and family.
CHAYA
NOTIK
- Chaya graduated from McGill University with a Master’s in Physiotherapy and has been working in pelvic health for nearly a decade. She has been serving the communities of Nemaska and Whapmagoostui since 2024.
- She works collaboratively with her clients using a holistic approach that emphasizes education, exercise, nervous system regulation, and personalized strategies to help them reach their goals.
- In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, staying active, and exploring new activities.
MARIE-PIERRE
ESTEL
- Marie-Pierre Estel graduated from USherbrooke in 2020 and has worked in pelvic health in Montreal ever since. She also works at the Tiohtià:ke Indigenous Health Centre.
- You will find her in Oujé-Bougoumou & in Waswanipi.
- Particularly interested in women's health, she loves to help everyone better understand their health, their body and its signals.

She always had an interest in physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Dance, nature, meditation, yoga, time with family and close friends are part of her lifestyle.
SALOME
LEFEBVRE-PELLEGRINO
- Salomé graduated from the University of Montreal with a master's degree in physiotherapy, followed by a graduate micro-program in perineal rehabilitation.
- With women's health close to her heart, she chose from the outset of her practice to dedicate her work to pelvic health in Montreal. Her interest in pediatrics led her to pursue continuing education in this field to ensure a more global approach to perinatal care. Wishing to develop her versatility, Salomé also treats musculoskeletal, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
- Since 2025, she has been practicing in Whapmagoostui, where she treats patients of all ages and for all conditions, but with a particular interest in pelvic health.
- Outside of work, Salomé enjoys all kinds of sports, especially those practiced outdoors. She regularly practices yoga, Pilates, cycling, ultimate Frisbee, hiking, skiing and running, which influences her physiotherapy practice by encouraging a functional and team-based approach with patients and other practitioners.
Nora
Abibsi
- Nora graduated in physiotherapy in 2012 from Laval University and directly started working with the Cree Health Board in Waswanipi.
- She specialized in pelvic health physiotherapy at University of Montreal in 2016.
- Nora worked and lived for five years in Waswanipi and changed to a regional position one year later.
- Since then, Nora has been supporting physiotherapists and allied health professionals in Eeyou Istchee while managing health projects.
