Need to speak to a nurse for a non-urgent situation? Call 811 Info-Santé

We strongly encourage community members to call Info-Sante 811 before calling their CMC. Info-Santé 811 is a free and confidential telephone health consultation service available across Eeyou Istchee and Quebec.

The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A nurse will answer questions about a non-urgent health issue. You can call 811 for yourself or a family member.

Wiichihiituwin

Wiichihiituwin (CPS) in Val-d’Or and Montreal are experiencing a severe staff shortage and a larger than usual number of clients. We are asking our clients to please be patient as it is currently difficult to get in touch with the Wiichihiituwin Department.

CMC Service Reductions

  • Effective July 12, 2021, the Eastmain CMC Current Services department will only be open for emergencies.
  • Effective July 8, 2021, the Waskaganish CMC will reduce services for a few weeks.

Please refer to local radio, Facebook pages and bulletin boards for more detailed information on possible service reductions in your community.

Charter Flights

The Northern Operations Centre (NOC) which coordinates medical charter flights requests a minimum of 48 hours advance notice for flight bookings. Response times are slower than usual due to staff shortage.
