From May 30th to June 1st 2023, about 65 people, including front-line employees, managers and clinicians, gathered in Montreal for the ᓂᑐᑖᒻᐦ Nitutaamh training relaunch. In addition to the 3-day training, some employees and managers participated in pre-training sessions in order to familiarize themselves with their roles as Facilitators, Sharing Circle Leaders, Care Team and Executive Storytellers. At the end of the session, a traditional feast was also organized in Kahnawake to celebrate the relaunch.

The next training session is planned for December 5-7, 2023 and participants will again include a mix of employees and professionals from different departments and services. In the meantime, activities are scheduled to train more internal employees as Facilitators, Sharing Circle Leaders, and Care Team members.

Additional ᓂᑐᑖᒻᐦ Nitutaamh training sessions are planned for 2024 with the goal of training between 200 – 300 employees and professionals per year. Eventually everyone will have a chance to participate in this training as we will now be able to offer it on a more regular basis to all CBHSSJB employees.
