Sylvie St-Pierre, Advisor to Assistant Director Public Health-SERC

The Assistant Director, SERC & Health Protection, Public Health is pleased to welcome Sylvie St-Pierre as the new Advisor to SERC & Health Protection within the Public Health team.

Sylvie brings extensive experience and critical knowledge of health network information management, highly effective and innovative organizational skills, and a long track record in Indigenous organizations which will strengthen our department’s capacities. 

Sylvie has worked at the Cree Health Board for more than a decade in various key administrative positions related to managing of a broad array of information – personal, qualitative, research, legislative, financial, medical archives, and clinical-administrative. 

She first joined the Cree Health Board as a Medical Archivist Team Leader with Miyupimaatisiiun. In her prior position as Public Health Administrative Process Specialist, Sylvie led the COVID-19 Documentation Team during the pandemic crisis. 

Her experience has spanned organizational changes, mergers, transition to computerized and digital tools and implementation of the Master Patient Index.  Sylvie was also part of the very first committee that developed the DSQ, Info-Santé and the management of the CLSC archives department.

Sylvie St-Pierre assumed her new role on September 9.
