MEET RONITA MOAR – DENTAL ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM GRADUATE IN WEMINDJI
Ronita Moar is one of two young Cree women, alongside Kaylee Gilpin, who graduated from the Dental Assistant Training Program in Wemindji.

On graduation day, Ronita felt a profound sense of pride for having pursued the course and for reaching its completion. She says the opportunity to work as a Dental Assistant offered her immense satisfaction, valuing every moment of the journey.
“It prompted me to consider a future in the field of dentistry. I offer my sincere thanks to the CBHSSJB for presenting this opportunity and for welcoming my effort.” – Ronita Moar, Dental Assistant Program Graduate
Finally, please see to the right, a note she left Nicole Jolin, Head of Professional Services, on the momentous occasion.

The 10-week Dental Assistant Training Program completed by Ronita consists of 4 weeks of theory and 6 weeks of clinical practice, under the supervision of Ruth Cadena, Training Agent. Among other topics, the course covers dental anatomy, techniques, diseases, treatments and infection control.
The CBHSSJB would like to thank dentists, Shayan Sadeghi and Valérie Exama, who provided practical training with the students.
We are grateful to the Cree Nation Government (CNG) and their Apatissiwin Skills Development program, which provides important financial support to the students throughout the training.
