Every two years, athletes, families, coaches, volunteers, and supporters come together to share the excitement of competition and the joy of being together.

As everyone prepares for the Eeyou Istchee Summer Games, it's important to come ready for summer conditions and to make sure all key participation information is taken care of ahead of time.

Before heading out for the day, make sure to pack essentials like:

  • A refillable water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • A hat
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Proper footwear

Summer weather can be beautiful, but it can also be intense.

  • Take breaks in shaded or cool areas, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
  • If someone feels dizzy, weak, nauseous, unusually tired, confused, or develops a headache after being in the heat, they should stop activity right away and get help from event staff or medical support if needed.

Looking out for one another is part of what makes Eeyou Istchee strong - on the field, off the field, and everywhere in between.

Keep Eeyou Istchee clean and safe by treating community spaces with respect throughout the event such as not littering.

Taking part in the Eeyou Istchee Summer Games is an achievement. Participating takes courage. It takes effort to show up, compete, try something challenging, and give your best.

Wishing all participants a safe, successful, and inspiring Summer Games!
