The École de la Vue (EDLV) team, supported by the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) Specialized Services, had a positive impact on youth during their visits to Chisasibi and Eastmain.

At the Uupichinaasiun Elementary School in Chisasibi, the optometrists saw 142 students in three days. Following the vision screenings, 89 students received a prescription for glasses.

“I’m proud to see this project come together for the kids and their vision health. This initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the parents and school. I would like to share huge thanks to the school staff who ensured everything went smoothly.” – Jessica McBean, School Nurse

Featured below are core team members during the Chisasibi visit, but many otherswere involved.
