Dr Malek Sbih has taken up his post as the director of Chisasibi Regional Hospital
The Miyupimâtisîun department is pleased to welcome Dr Malek Sbih as the new Director of Chisasibi Regional Hospital. He has taken up his position on August 1.

Dr Sbih is an innovative health care and emergency management professional with a background in infectious diseases and immunization logistics management. His expertise also includes risk and needs assessment for emergency public health response. This stems from nine years' experience with international organizations, including the World Health Organization, where he served in various positions in Asia and in America.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Sbih has been Senior Advisor for the Montréal West Island IUHSSC (CIUSSS). Previously, he worked with the Canadian Red Cross, where he was responsible for training medical professionals in preventing the spread of infection in long-term care and privately-owned seniors’ residences.
Dr Sbih holds a doctorate in medicine with an MBA, Marketing and Management, as well as a post-graduate certificate in radiology.
