The Cree Health Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) Direction of Medical Affairs and Services – Professional Services Division is proud to recognize the accomplishment of three students, from Nemaska.
Celebrating these three young women for their hard work and enthusiasm as they set themselves on a path towards a promising career in the dental field is incredibly meaningful. I am filled with pride and recognition towards the CBHSSJB and Cree Nation Government who make this initiative possible. – Nicole Jolin, Head of Professional Services, CBHSSJB
The Dental Assistant Training is a 10-week program offered by the CBHSSJB. It consists of 4 weeks of theory and 6 weeks of clinical practice, under the supervision of Ruth Cadena, their training agent. Among other topics, the course covers dental anatomy, techniques, diseases, treatments and infection control.
To say I am proud of these students would be an understatement. It was an absolute pleasure for me to support them through this process and they deserve every bit of success that will come their way now that they have completed this training. – Ruth Cadena, Training Agent, CBHSSJB
The CBHSSJB would like to thank dentists Haissam El Hajj, Fabienne Rosset and Marc Dansereau, who provided practical training with the students.
We are grateful to the Cree Nation Government (CNG) and their Apatissiwin Skills Development program, which provides important financial support to the students throughout the training.
