Certain Similac brand powdered infant formula products recalled
Food contaminated may not look or smell spoiled but, in rare cases it can cause serious or fatal infections. These bacteria can cause rare bloodstream and central nervous system infections, especially in newborns.
Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.

- Similac Advance
- Similac Total
- Similac Sensitive
- Similac Pro-Advance
- Similac Alimentum
What you should do
- Check to see if you have the recalled products in your home. These products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
- If you have consumed any of these products in the past few weeks, contact your local CMC (clinic).
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is verifying that industry is removing the recalled products from the marketplace.
