CBHSSJB Representatives Speak About Suicide Prevention and FASD at CERP Hearings

Cree Health Board representatives will be in Val-d’Or on August 17 and 21 at the Public Inquiry Commission on relations between Indigenous Peoples and certain public services in Québec: listening, reconciliation and progress (Commission Viens/CERP).

On August 17 at 1:30pm, Pauline Bobbish, PPRO for Maanuuhiikuu (Regional Mental Health) and Chair of the Regional Committee for Suicide Prevention will update the Commission on the Committee’s work with a presentation titled Naakitiwaayititaau Pimaatisiiun, about improving the well-being of strong Eeyou/Eenou individuals and families who value and celebrate life. 

On August 21 at 3pm, Evike Goudreault, Coordinator of Disability Programs and Anny Lefebvre, Diagnostic Team Clinic Leader, will present on FASD and the Cree Health Board’s efforts and recommendations in the area of FASD awareness, prevention, diagnosis and intervention.
