Appointment of Stephanie Jonah as Director of Strategy and Organizational Development

The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Stephanie Jonah as Director of Strategy and Organizational Development, effective June 30, 2026.
Originally from Waskaganish and now residing in Wemindji, Ms. Jonah brings extensive experience in administration, organizational development and economic development. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting Cree communities through collaboration, strategic thinking and relationship-building.
Since returning to the CBHSSJB in 2023, Ms. Jonah has held several progressive roles, contributing to community service delivery, including the rollout of the Nisk Model, as well as strategic planning and organizational development initiatives that support the CBHSSJB's continued growth and evolution. She has also demonstrated strong leadership and built significant experience through senior positions with the Cree Nation of Wemindji and Tawich Development Corporation.
Fluent in Cree, English and French, Ms. Jonah is recognized for her collaborative approach, strong relationship-building skills and commitment to Miyupimâtisîun. She holds an Indigenous Business Management Certificate from McGill University and continues her studies in Business & Society at York University.
The CBHSSJB looks forward to Ms. Jonah's continued contributions in advancing strategic priorities, strengthening organizational development and supporting culturally grounded approaches that promote the well-being of Eeyou Istchee communities.
