1 new COVID-19 case confirmed in Oujé-Bougoumou

Public Health has confirmed 1 new case of COVID-19 in Oujé-Bougoumou affecting a person who works and lives in the community. This person is isolating and following all necessary precautions.  


This person had recently travelled back to Oujé-Bougoumou from another region outside Eeyou Istchee, and had been isolating since their return. 

  • Contact tracing has been done and there are no contacts identified in Eeyou Istchee
  • The community remains in phase 4 and all community activities and services can proceed as usual
