Homelessness Action Plan for Eeyou Istchee: 2nd call for project proposals

Funding will be available for proposals that address homelessness in Eeyou Istchee and in neighbouring cities that serve individuals from Eeyou Istchee experiencing homelessness.
Background
The Ministère de la Santé et des Services Sociaux (MSSS) released the Interdepartmental Action Plan on Homelessnes in 2022. Through this action plan, the Government of Québec is committed to providing funding for projects addressing the root causes of homelessness. The CBHSSJB has been mandated to make this support available in Eeyou Istchee.
The funding for the second round will be available for a period of two years (2024-2025 and 2025-2026)
This funding is to support NEW projects or already existing projects ready to be launched addressing homelessness in three (3) areas;

Addiction and the prevention of homelessness - Enhance the continuum of addiction services for people experiencing homelessness.

Emergency shelter - Support and strengthen the emergency and transitional housing continuum.

Proximity Services - Consolidate local homeless services.
