Healthy practices to prevent the flu
Healthy practices can help us stay safe from respiratory illnesses like colds, the flu, and COVID-19:
Regularly wash your hands with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds (Tip: Use alcohol-based sanitizer when in public places)

Wear a mask or face covering in public places or when physical distance cannot be maintained

Cover your coughs and sneezes (Tip: Use a tissue and discard immediately or use your arm instead of your hands)

Stay home if you feel sick, call your local CMC or the COVID-19 Info-line at 1-866-855-2811 and do not go to school or work until you are healthy

Maintain physical distance of 2 meters or 6 feet between people from other households
If you feel sick – stay home!
Flu shares similar symptoms with COVID-19, making it difficult to tell them apart. If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, it is important to stay at home and to contact your local CMC or call the COVID-19 Info-line at 1-866-855-2811 to determine if you need a COVID-19 test.
