CBHSSJB Public Health Department is investigating a potential COVID-19 exposure on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Cree School Board Adult Education Graduation photo shoot at the Mistissini Adult Learning Centre. If a member of the Public Health contact tracing team calls, please answer their questions with as much detail as possible to help limit the spread of the virus.
The potential exposure DID NOT affect the graduation ceremony and dinner held at the track and field on August 27, ONLY the photo shoot inside the Mistissini Adult Learning Centre.
If a member of the Public Health contact tracing team calls you in connection with this investigation, please answer their questions with as much detail as possible. Having accurate information helps limit the spread of the virus, protecting you and others.
If you were at the CSB photo shoot and you have not been contacted by public health, please take the following actions:
- No symptoms: Call your CMC to arrange to have a COVID-19 screening test on both Tuesday August 31 and on Wednesday September 8. You can continue your normal activities, following all usual health precautions (masking, distancing, etc.) as you await your test results.
- Symptoms (sore throat, cough, fever, etc.): Please call the CMC to be tested as soon as possible. Stay home and do not have visitors until your test result is available.
As a precautionary measure, the Mistissini Adult Learning Centre will be closed on Monday, August 30, 2021 to allow for a full cleaning of the building.
Vaccination against COVID-19 is one of the best ways to protect ourselves and our families. If you haven’t yet been vaccinated, please call your CMC to make an appointment this week.
