Whapmagoostui

Elder Wellness Week in Whapmagoostui will be filled with meaningful moments, connection across generations, and a touch of fun along the way.

  • Students from the Grade 4 class will spend time with Elders at the MSDC, sharing stories, laughter, and learning together, with support from nutritionist Kathleen Chan. (Date to be confirmed: June 12 or 16.)
  • On June 17, the MSDC will host an open house, welcoming community members to come visit with Elders. Elders who attend regularly, as well as those from the community, are invited to join in, enjoy snacks, connect, and take part in a fun game of giant Snakes and Ladders.
  • Throughout the week, Elders attending the MSDC from Tuesday to Thursday will continue to enjoy activities in a warm and welcoming environment, with a lively bingo game planned for Friday, June 19.
  • A special gathering with managers is also planned for June 23, featuring a traditional meal that celebrates culture, connection, and shared time together.

In addition, a community picnic is being discussed in collaboration with the Band Office.
(This activity is not yet confirmed).
